Nick is a career project manager and consultant having led numerous technology programmes and projects spanning 25 years. Throughout his career he observed many examples of company waste in financing of the design and delivery of technology solutions.
His vision for Techolony was to provide a value-driven consulting service focused on bringing enterprise level advice to mid-sized clients and providing delivery teams at a price point appropriate for their size of company.

Where are your consultants based?
Our consultants are based all around the UK from Aberdeen to Bournemouth. We do offer alternatively priced nearshore services for certain technology projects like CRM and ERP implementations and those consultants are based in Poland and Ukraine.
Are they your employees or contractors?
Just like most of our larger competitors, Techolony deliver our services under a blended model of employees and Associates. Our Associate base is now nearly 400 strong and is an invite only team where we vet them for skills, leadership, experience and also personality fit.
We want all our associates to be not just highly skilled but also emotionally intelligent and sensitive to the changing needs of different customers and organisation cultures. Supporting the growth of our associate base is our recruitment team that is building our capabilities in geographical areas that we are seeing expansion in.
What if I’m not happy?
It’s very rare that a client will be unhappy with a consultant because we operate an exceptionally collaborative and communicative service and report on performance weekly.
However, if we provide a consultant this isn’t a match for you (for whatever reason) then we will listen to your feedback and swap them out with someone who is a better fit.
How long does it take to get started?
If we are providing you with an individual or a team of consultants then we typically turn things around in 48 hours from your submitted request to starting work. However, if you are outsourcing a project to us then we will develop a proposal for you within 5 days and will then start as soon as you have signed off that proposal.
How does your service quality guarantee work?
Our service quality guarantee is a governance wrapper that measures the work of each consultant in our team. We will agree and maintain agreement of deliverables for them each month and then track them through our in-house project management office team. You will be assigned a PMO staff member to your account whose costs are accounted for in our charges.
